Cattleya mossiae - 'Flor de Mayo'

Cattleya mossiae is Venezuela’s national flower.

• It is widly cultivated.

• This species is found only in Venezuela.

• It grows in the in the mountaineous areas of the central northern and southwestern region of the country.

• It adapts easily to a variety of conditions.

• This cattleya blooms only once a year. Its massive flowering takes place from February to May.

• Its flowers can be purple, alba, semi alba and coerulea in color.
